Today in Sports History with Paul: Special Edition- April 16th
Today is a special day in New England sports history. On this day, April 16th 2000, the New England Patriots selected Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. with the 199th overall pick in the 6th round of the NFL draft. This pick will forever go down as the greatest draft choice in draft history across all of SPORTS (at least in my eyes). On this 20th anniversary of the greatest pick in sports history we celebrate the GOAT himself, Tom Brady. But not only do we celebrate Tom Brady, we also celebrate the coach who selected him on this day. This day also marks the birthday of the greatest coach to ever coach the game of football, Bill Belichick. Together, Tom and Bill, have absolutely reigned dominance across the NFL. They are the greatest coach and quarterback duo ever with the most combined wins in NFL history. They have achieved so many accolades together, including an outstanding 6 Super Bowl championships. So, Happy 20th anniversary to Tom Brady being drafted to the Patriots and Happy Birthday to Bill Belichick! Now lets sit back and enjoy the wonderful memories from the last 20 years.
