Today, we look back on this day in 2007 when the Boston Red Sox took on their rival New York Yankees. The Red Sox got down early in the game, 3-0 by the third inning. Then in the bottom of the third inning the Red Sox took the plate and did something that has only happened 8 other times in Major League Baseball history. They hit 4 consecutive home runs! With a sequence of home runs from Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, Mike Lowell, and Jason Varitek the Red Sox took a 4-3 lead and ended up winning a close game 7-6. The 2007 Red Sox went on to win the World Series that year, making a remarkable comeback down 3 games to 1 in the American League Championship Series and going on to win their second championship in four years. Good times...good times. Enjoy the home runs and a look back at the 2007 Red Sox postseason run.
