Today In Sports History with Paul- April 1st

Hey there! Hope everyone is doing well, enjoying time with their families, and following along with our blog. If you're a big sports fan like myself or just a casual fan and miss having sports in your life, then I hope my new weekly blog posts will try to fill that void a bit. I am starting this new blog post which will feature different sporting events from the past that happened on the day of the post.

Today's featured sports event comes from April 1, 2016 when MY (and your) Boston Celtics went in to Oracle arena to face the big bad Golden State Warriors and their historical home win streak. On that night the Celtics came in and played their hearts out to defeat the Warriors 109-106 in an absolute thriller of a game (No, this is not an April fools joke). With the win, the Celtics ended the Warriors home win streak record at 54 games which was the Warriors first loss at home since January of 2015!

Isiah Thomas (IT) led the way for the Celtics with 22 points and 6 assists while Evan Turner chipped in with 21 points and Jared Sullinger chipped in with 20 points, respectively. It was a total team effort for the Celtics to slow down the Splash Brothers, Steph and Klay, along with the rest of the Warriors.

Relive some highlights from the game here:
