Animal Spotlight with Charlotte - White-Tailed Deer

This little fellow above is a fawn, or baby white-tailed deer. This deer has the exact same number of teeth as you do, thirty two! Deer, however, have no upper middle teeth in front so they can grind food better.

Foods eaten by deer are all sorts of plants such as leaves, grass, and buds and twigs from trees.
