This turtle here is one of the most commonly seen wild turtles. As its name suggests, the eastern box turtle is able to pull its arms, legs, and head all the way in and close its shell for protection! This makes them look and act like a box. The eastern box turtle eats a range of food including mushrooms, seeds, berries, slugs, and earthworms.
